Whenever I hear a song or a poem singing the praises of thedeep blue sea, I close my eyes and feel transported somewhere where the waves are licking at my bare feet. Armed with a colorful cocktail and a good book, shaded by my sunglasses and with my toes rubbing against the hot sand, I ask myself why vacations can’t last forever. To take full advantage of the energizing sea air and the lively streets of southern French resort cities, it’s imperative to spend a few nights in a romantic boutique hotel on the French Riviera, the height of luxury being a room with a balcony facing the sea.
