For a great many tourists, golf and vacation are inseparable. Their choice of destination is determined solely on the quality and proximity of the greens, and if the fees are part of the hotel’s services, that’s even better!  The Anglo-Saxons of course were the first to include golf as part of their hotel structure. Most of the Caribbean resorts have golf courses along the sea, each more magnificent than the other. These were soon imitated by many Indian Ocean resorts. Profiting from their exceptional locations, hotel groups have, in the same way as they did for their décor, cuisine or spa, commissioned the finest golf course creators to attract a clientele in search of new sensations and original experiences. Even mountain hotels have joined the trend and now propose golf in the snow! Born in the Alps at the beginning of this century, snow golf tournaments and classifications involving stars of this discipline are organized annually. Snow takes the place of grass, vivid colors outline the limits of the course, rackets replace cleated shoes, holes are made in the snow, and players are ready to try a new approach to this demanding and traditional sport. It’s now possible to play golf all year round, on all five continents regardless of the climatic conditions…the dream of every golfer!
